Their family-owned business ethics of sustainable fishing practices are woven into the landscape and culture of the Bristol Bay community. Idaho Rivers United is proud to partner with Pride of Bristol Bay (POBB), through their Wildly Devoted program, which donates 2% of their Idaho sales back to Idaho Rivers United. 20lb cases of wild salmon fillets or portions are available for order this summer with a September pick-up (see dates below).
The summer of 2022 season has been a record-breaking year for salmon in Bristol Bay, according to local news in Alaska, an impressive 69.7 million fish returned this summer. That surpasses the previous record of 67.7 million fish, which was set last year.
According to POBB, the Alaska Department of Fish & Game is recognized as one of the most effective, comprehensive resource management systems in the world. Bristol Bay is known as the cornerstone of resource stewardship because not only does it cultivate and protect the region's salmon, but it includes the support of all species in the ecosystem for generations to come. Every case of their wild salmon is labeled with the name of the “Bristol Bay Fishing District” in which the wild salmon was harvested from.
