Create a gift today for lasting impacts tomorrow

We invite you to review several opportunities for you to invest in Idaho Rivers United’s mission with a lasting gift. Planned gifts provide funding for our mission today and into the future. Through your love of rivers and desire to provide for their future, consider becoming an IRU Legacy Society member. Your memory will be embedded in our mission, and your gift will remind all IRU members that we can make a difference for future generations.  Please consider adding Idaho Rivers United as one of your planned beneficiaries. All planned gifts, unless otherwise directed, will go into a permanent endowment, providing critical funding for this important work in perpetuity.

Donating stock to IRU is another great way to push IRU’s mission further, and has numerous tax advantages (such as avoiding capital gains). Ask your broker to contact Anna Buschbacher at IRU for transfer information. 208-343-7481 / anna@idahorivers.org

Additionally, qualified charitable donations can be made for people 70 ½ who would like to contribute funds from their IRA directly to a charity without paying income taxes on the distribution. This IRA charitable donation will not count towards your adjusted gross income and will count toward your minimum yearly distribution. Your gift will immediately go to work on our conservation initiatives, such as recovering salmon and steelhead or protecting your public waters from development and extraction. To make a gift directly from your IRA, simply contact your plan administrator and request an IRA charitable donation.

When you contribute to IRU be sure to check our match gifts button to see if your employer will match your donation. Many companies match non-profit donations dollar for dollar. A link can be found on our online donation, or we would be happy to send you a search link.

An investment in Idaho Rivers United is an investment in the conservation legacy you have crafted. For additional information on planned gifts or to discuss the impact your gift can have, please contact Nic at either nic@idahorivers.org or at 208-343-7481.
