Introducing our new Brewshed partner Meriwether Cider Co., & the 900 Mile Cider!

We are very excited to announce a new partnership (and Brewshed Partner)!  Meriwether Cider, launched a new non-profit partnership program this month called “Let’s Do Good,” and IRU was chosen as the inaugural partner of this innovative new program.

The staff of Meriwether voted on IRU to be part of Let's Do Good “because we are all passionate about getting outside and enjoying the natural beauty of (in our opinion) the best state in the country. Some of the most spectacular parts of Idaho are the clear, beautiful, ecologically sustaining rivers that run through so much of this beautiful state. We love IRU's commitment to not only to protecting this incredibly important resource and integral part of what it is to be part of Idaho but also introducing education and volunteer opportunities to the community to bring the work of protection to all of us.”

As part of our partnership with Meriwether Cider, they crafted a special cider spritzer, with all proceeds going to our river protection work!  This delicious cider is made with Chinook hops and grapefruit, and is called the “900 Mile Cider,” in honor of the journey our native salmon make from Idaho to the ocean (and back!).

The spritzer can be enjoyed in either Meriwether Cider location (Downtown Boise or on Chinden Blvd. in Garden City).

We are honored to be Meriwether’s nonprofit partner as we wrap up 2020.  Our partnership extends through December, so keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events in partnership with Meriwether and hurry to their taprooms to try the 900 Mile Cider!

Join us on Oct 31st from 3-6pm at 34th St. Marketplace in Garden City for the Halloween Picnic with IRU & Meriwether Cider! Stay tuned for more info!
